Sooo, another normal day.
Half cloudy, half sunny.
Pretty nice. Got an icecream. Saw the cootlings, they've grown a lot. And the goslings.
Did I mention that while we were at the friend's house I broke part of my newly-fixed braces?
Well, yeah, I did.
Aren't I brilliant?
So we have to go back to the dentist some time this week.
We're going to Africa on Friday, if all goes as planned.
I need Wednesday. I don't know how I'm going to survive until then >.<
I entered a photo contest - a really big one with tons of professionals - and want to know if I got anywhere :p
Obviously, it's a 1 in a 1000000000000000000000000 chance.
First you enter 10 photos, then they get the shortlist (moi included - but it's probably a really long list), then they choose the few winners.
*sigh*
~ Wow, I just had one of the biggest scares of my life.
My external memory drive thing was plugged into the computer. I thought - and still do think - I closed everything that was on it before I unplugged it (if you don't, then it can kill the drive and everything on it).
Now, that drive has every single photo I ever took on it (yes, it's a very big drive).
And some of them aren't anywhere else but on the drive.
Anyway. I unplugged it and it gave the memory failure notice. However, it often does that when I unplug it (not sure why) so I wasn't too worried.
But then I realised I actually needed something off the drive and plugged it back in again.
Everything was dead. All the folders were empty, apart from the main one. But the files in there were blank and when I clicked on 'em to see the photo it said "no preview" (aka dead file).
I turned off the computer, unplugged Seagate (that's the make of the drive and that's what I call it) and turned the computer back on again.
I left Seagate for quite a while, really scared that I had actually lost everything and too scared to plug it back in again and double check.
I prayed a lot but was still too nervous to check if it was ok (and, mark my words, it definitely shouldn't have been).
I asked God for a rainbow if Seagate was ok...and got a double rainbow (:
Then my sister suddenly told me Seagate was indeed alright and so was everything on it.
I was SO happy!! ~

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the comments, anyhow. The moderation should help. :p
0_o That last bit is creepy. There is a traitor among us DX
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity, what is it the traitor is commenting? Private info?
That's awesome how you got a double rainbow when you asked for just one and Seagate was ok! :D
