So, howdy. Or not-howdy - whatever you prefer.
We're at the "coast" as the people here call it, and it's really nice ^.^
The journey was pretty long and achey, but we saw three giraffes during the day time (too far away for a photo though) and loads of hares, a bushbaby and a couple of mongeese at night.
We'll be here until Monday, and I don't think I'll be able to post again until we get back. (Tuesday or Wednesday - the drive back to the capital takes 12 hours or so, so we spend the night en route.)
I wish I could take some better underwater photos, but I looked up underwater cases for Nikons, and they all cost over 800 pounds.
Yeah, way more than the camera itself cost.
I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm grown up for that >.< maybe my future job will supply me :3
It's really hot and humid, and there are lots of mosquitoes. But they don't matter too much, as the salt water deadens the itch.
Here's a random photo of my shadow, at night, and that of the camera-on-a-tripod.
The sunrise is around 6.20am, and sunset is at about 6pm.
There are loads of crabs - pale, pinkish transparent ones, stripy ones, green ones, red ones and more during the day - and a whole host of big cream nocturnal ones.
LOADS of 'em. And if you swim at night, when the tide's in (there's a kind of small lagoon here), the waves drag the crabs out into the water and then throw them onto you again >.<
Sooo...yeah. I'll post some more photos and stuff when we get back to the capital.
The last picture is amazing! :D
ReplyDeleteDo you know what kinds of crabs they are?
Wow! Awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteThe last two pictures are gorgeous! ^.^
ReplyDeleteYou're very lucky that you get to travel to exotic places. (:
