Ooh, sorry I haven't posted.
We arrived in England on Wednesday or Thursday, early in the morning after a night-flight.
We went to the airport and everything was fine until we had our hand luggage checked - we had some seashells.
But it took us a few minutes to realise the guy was saying "seashells" - his accent was so strong we thought he was saying "shears"! Mum kept saying she didn't have any shears in her handbag X3
Anyway, he said we weren't allowed to take 'em out of the country, blablabla. I protested, saying that at the place we'd been staying, at the beach, they'd said it was only coral we couldn't take out.
The man, thankfully, didn't examine the box closely enough to find we actually did have a few fragments of coral in there, lol.
We argued for a bit (Mum asking for somewhere where it was written we couldn't take coral) but then he went off to find his boss or something to deal with us. We had to wait ages and finally the boss didn't come, and we were allowed through "as long as it doesn't happen again" and we "realise it's not allowed" etc.
I was so annoyed >.< I'd felt pretty unwell and pretty tired, and this didn't help at all.
Either way, I'm glad the box they found wasn't the one with the good (although small, we didn't find any big ones) shells in it - that one was in my hand luggage, in a metal box. I guess they couldn't see we had shells through the metal.

Our seats on the plane weren't together (as apparently you can only choose your seats if you book over the internet), so we planned to ask some people if they could move.
Person A said no. We supposed that was because they were near a window seat, so they had a fair point.
Then someone took my seat, so there was another issue.
We asked several other people, but practically everyone seemed to be travelling with some other people, and wanted to keep together.
So Sky ended up sitting one row in front of Mum and I ended up sitting next to grumpy Person A (who slept the whole flight and only opened the window once we'd landed!!).

The sunrise, over the Alps, wasn't too bad, but it was a pity there wasn't a bigger window - and the flipping stupid wing was in the way of me getting some better shots. *glares* Of course, it's ok sometimes, but you know. Oh, and the windows were pretty dirty, too >.<

We arrived, got in a taxi and drove to our grandmother's place - where we'll be until the 10th or so, of July, when we'll be going to la France. I can't wait to see the cats again <3

We saw our Mum's friend...she's...ummm...rather morbid. But, trying not to make a generalization, I've noticed lots of old people get a tad morbid. She's rather nice, anyway. We had tea with her, then came back.

Oh, and I went to the pond earlier. Sky was watching something on TV, so I went by myself - I did ask her if she wanted to come, but she said she "wanted to finish this" (the program) so I went off.
She was annoyed, later, saying she meant she wanted to finish it and then come.
But we wouldn't have had time do that, anyway.

I was a bit nervous, in case someone wanted to pinch my camera (very unlikely, I know) - but that wore off pretty quickly. I had a plastic shopping bag with a few scraps of bread for the ducks.
I saw the coots, and their babies, which had grown a lot since we were last here.
 They enjoyed the bread :3

I also saw a moorhen, the heron, the swan, several ducks I don't know the type of and some Canadian and Egyptian geese.

I'd better go, it's getting on. Bye ^.^

  2. "Shears" X3
Once when I walked through the scanner-thingy, it started beeping wildly and it turned out to be because of a metal button on my raincoat, which they had told me that I could keep on.

  3. I'm sorry that you had to get separated on the plane! :(
When my family flew to Arizona for vacation one time, we were in the back of the plane, and we still had to get separated. :s
