Woohoo! So we're back en France :3
And I really shouldn't be posting, due to my wrists, but oh well...
The journey was average...average in our standards, that is.
We have this thing with being late. Well, Mum does, and...yeah. So instead of leaving Friday morning, then afternoon, then evening, then night, we left Saturday morning. Apart from, it was supposed to be at 8a.m. that we left, but it turned out to be 11.a.m.
*sigh*
We got in our stuff-filled-car and drove off. We took the ferry (it was so nice taking it in the day time, for once - usually we're so late we get it around 12p.m....or later), to Dunkerque this time, instead of Calais where we usually go.
The boat was full and there were loads of people.
We had some food, Mum and Sky went to the shop, we went on deck, etc.
As we neared France, we saw this quite friendly seagull who we gave some bread. Dad threw it the bread, and I took some not bad photos of it ^.^
We sadly didn't quite manage to see the sunset-over-the-sea, but even if we had, it wouldn't have been much, there was a huge blanket of clouds :P
We got off the ferry and drove for ages, and ages, and ages. We stopped several times for petrol etc and then spent the night in the car in a "aire" - an "aire" being a place off the motorway where you can park. If it doesn't have a petrol station etc, there'll just be some parking space, picnic benches and public toilets.
I hate sleeping in the car when the engine's off. (Not sure why. I'm fine when we're moving.)
Headed off again around 6 or 7a.m., drove past Lyon, past the Rhone River...
...I was aching all over. You wouldn't think comfy car seats would make you ache, would you?
And it was so not fair seeing all those people, on the motorway, going on holiday with all their luggage just in the boot instead of all over their laps, etc. Sky said she even saw them get into their pyjamas, brush their teeth, get blankets and lie down. Wow. I wish we could have that luxury XP
Me and Sky, in the back seat, had to lean on the pile of stuff in the middle. Pretty uncomfortable after a while. It was raining on-and-off for most of the journey, we barely saw a glimpse of sun.

We home at around 5.p.m yesterday. The cats were all fine :3
The neighbour said Paws had lost her collar (another neighbour had found it and returned it) and she couldn't recognise her so wasn't sure she was there. As Paws didn't turn up for a while I got a bit worried, but she soon appeared.
They were all, apart from Paws who was a bit fatter, a little thinner than when we left them, but not hugely.
They were all so pleased to see us <3 Humbug's been purring at random times and squeaking at me. Toufkin was going "miaowww", "miaoowww" a lot. Oh, and speaking of Toufkin, he was trying to kill my toes through the duvet last night. And Humbug pushed everything apart from the lamp off the bedside table (thankfully I remembed his habit and made sure my camera etc were in a safe place) and smashed a glass. Although, the glass was actually on the kitchen surface, where he was trying to kill some bread. Houm has a knack for smelling food through the plastic and then mauling it.
I'd better go. It's soon supper time. It's so strange! In Africa, the light's gone by 6p.m. Here the sun's only just setting, and it's 9p.m.! And it's only dark past 10.
You live in Africa? I think its awesome that you have been to France!!!

Well, kind of. We're living in Africa for the next 2-3 years, because of Dad's work. Our main house is in France, though.
