Meep. Ain't posted for quite a while, 'ave I? Well, six days.
While in London we didn't do anything particular. I took a couple of photos of the ducks and stuff, but I can't upload them now because we're in somewhere unknown and my camera's stayed in London to have the sensor cleaned. Oh, and Dad's left his lens on it so that's being fixed, too. (One or two of the "leaves" or whatever they're called of the aperture thing have broken off.)
Oh, wait. We went to visit B and T. Remember them? Sky's old school friend (hehe, that makes her sound really old) and her family. The night before we went to see them, I set the mouse trap again. In the morning, there was a small brown mouse ^.^ I took it inside, alas, and attempted to transfer it to a small box where I'd be able to take an ok-ish photo of it. Of course, the dratted little thing scampered out, over my hand and into the depths of our bedroom.
I got the impression that my grandmother wasn't *cough* too pleased. At all.
I hurriedly re-set the trap and left a few small pieces of cheese around. But I was pretty sure it wouldn't get caught so easily, now that it knew what the trap was. I checked on the trap just before we left, and one of the pieces of cheese on the floor had been eaten.
Then we had to go and see B. Me and Sky took the train and when B and co had picked us up, went straight to a place (which I'll refer to as H) where there was a kind of medieval fair thingy. There wasn't much doing, though, because it was absolutely pouring with rain. I bought a few crystals which I'd wanted for a while - bloodstone (my birthstone), clear quartz (good for dream recall), red jasper (ditto), amethyst (ditto again and for headaches) and blue lace agate (dream recall).
We slept over at B's house and, the next day, went for a walk around to where our old house is *sob*
The surroundings are much the same, apart from the public footpath has had a blasted fence erected on one side so it's impossible to go in the field. And there's a new, bigger, more nasty bridge over the small stream *sigh*
As for the house... *grumble* Well, the raspberries, small willow, small apple tree and small grape vines are still there, they've filled in the pond, added a scary-looking statue of a nude female, three large raised flower bed things and a nasty-looking bunch of flowers.
The only good thing they appear to have done is added another tree - a pear, I think. Since, obviously, I couldn't go snooping into "their" garden, I wasn't able to see whether my apple tree was still there, nor whether my willow was. Trust me, if they've got rid of either of those trees, they're going to be in Very Serious Trouble.
When we got back to London, Dad told me the mouse had been caught and released ^.^
Anyway, now we're somewhere unknown, as I mentioned before. It's just a country, but I won't mention it til we're back in England or France because of ze stalkers. Not that the stalkers (which probably don't exist anyway *gulp*) could be stupid enough to not have found me before now.
Bye for now :3 and don't forget to vote for my photo! (if you like it)
Aquamarine is march's birthstone... is it different in Europe?
ReplyDeleteAquamarine and bloodstone are the birthstoneS in Europe, but I think just aquamarine is in the USA.
DeleteAt my new house I have 3 apple trees (one didn't grow apples this year for some reason). They are crabapples, really sour and delicious... I despise sweet apples for some reason...
ReplyDeleteI also have 2 rows of grape vines there o.o
Oh and there is also a pond there but it's huuuuuuuge...
This is starting to scare me, pure coincidence o.o
Although there is no, um, statue or nasty looking flowers, nor is there a raised flower bed. One thing that was hilarious, we walked through the house yesterday (owner gave us permission, obviously) and found something in the basement. It was a stale biscuit that my brother left on a shelf when we previously lived there (we rented it once)! O-o
I also had this bird clock that my aunt gave me before she died (there were birds instead of numbers). Each "number" was a bird and it had the name of the bird under it. It was a heirloom, and we found it hanging on the wall, for all these years it was there at that house...
