In England we didn't do much. Went for a walk at one point, saw the ducks again...they've all grown, apart from some newish ducklings.

Oh, and we got our car window broken - on my side of the car, of course.
Our neighbour told Dad about it when he took some cases down. Apparently a man had broken in and been rummaging around in the car at about 1am. The neighbour had challenged him and the burglar had nipped off. Due to the broken window, our departure was postponed by a few hours, since Dad had to call up the insurance etc. We got some new glass put in on the way to Dover.
The ferry trip was uneventful and no, we didn't see any of the illegal immigrants in Calais, even though I looked out for 'em.
Zat's moi, taking a weird photo in the bathroom mirror, on the ferry.
We spent the night south of Paris, spending about an hour looking for hotels - all of them were either full or too expensive. I was half asleep when Mum and Dad were looking at them, and I had a weird dream that the hotel manager had set a highland terrier on us. Anyway, we found one, spent the night and set off again. We had a picnic lunch near the house where Mum grew up, and trespassed in the garden to have a look.
(We did knock to see if there was anyone there, first, but there wasn't.)
It, apparently, was pretty much the same as when Mum had been there, although the house had new tiles and new rendering.
There were some horses opposite the house, though we don't think they belonged to the owners of the house. The horses were in not-great condition, and three of them seriously needed their hooves trimmed.
Poor things. You can't really see the hoof issues from this angle, but they - especially the grey and small brown ones - looked almost like they were wearing long, pointy slippers :(

We got to our granddad's house early yesterday morning - Mum and Dad went to sleep, but me and Sky had breakfast and stayed awake. Later, though, Sky fell asleep in a weird position - her head and chest on the bed, knees on the floor and feet against the chest in our room :P
In the afternoon we had a joint birthday party for my granddad and uncle, with a banana cake me and Sky - though mainly me - made. I think I prefer banana bread, lol.

We're going home on Tuesday, I think. Or maybe later. Not sure.

    1. Never leave the country...whichever one you think mine is :P
I mean, in either one, there are a lot of f amazing places and things to photograph. And live without a camera? *expires*

    2. I'd chose to never again have a camera. :P I like traveling/exploring most of all, photography is just my way of recording the places I go.

    3. But there are lots of places to travel to and explore, everywhere. Staying in England, you could get seals in one place and wildcats in another. Lake District, mountains...
And there's even more variety in America.

    4. Yeah, but I guess I was assuming option b would mean you could go anywhere in the world you wanted. If that were the case, I'd chose b. It'd be sad to never be able to visit South America, or China. :P

    5. Why do you want to visit China? I mean, I do, but I'd rather go to Japan. (the trees...oh, the trees)
