Meep ^.^
I haven't posted because I didn't have a computer until now - one of them died and Dad took the other with him to Paris. But now he's back and so's the laptop...and the other one's waiting to be fixed, I think.
Nothing much new, though. There was a lightning storm last night, which I tried to take some photos of without getting a) struck by lightning or b) deafened by the thunder which, at times, was right overhead or c) getting the camera wet. I put a towel over it and cowered under a tree :P
Humbug was horrified at the thunder and hid under the bed. Toufkin seemed fine with it and sat on a chair outside (though under shelter). Paws sat on the stool in the kitchen putting her ears back every time the thunder came. And Samy had vanished somewhere outside - in the shed or round the back of the house, I suppose.
I got a few ok-ish photos of the lightning, even though I say so myself. This is the first time there's been a well-positioned storm for me to take some photos, of, though. And there'll hopefully be - according to the weather forecast - a few more storms in the next few days ^.^
Our aunt and cousin came to visit a few days ago, too, which was nice. She - the cousin - has started to swim a bit with armbands (she's four and had a bit of a swimming pool phobia for a while, after going under a couple of times). I took Yeti - our aunt's dog, if you remember from some previous posts - in, too, but she wasn't too keen this time and swam immediately back to the edge.
Speaking of stuff in pools, I think I already mentioned that there have been a lot of red-and-black spiders in the pool, for some reason. Well, when I say "a lot" I mean three to eight per morning. Anyway, here's a photo of one of the ones I scooped out of the pool.
that is an amazing photo!!!!!!!!!!! what kind of spider is it?
ReplyDeleteThank you (:
DeleteI'm afraid I don't know...I'll have to look it up and see if I can find out ^.^
