Yesterday we went to visit a family near us who is half African, half French. It was a fairly interesting visit but it was mainly just adults talking about work *sigh*
Afterwards we were supposed to find a waterfall but I looked it up before we left and there weren't really any around, so we settled on just a river. But, of course, we spent longer at the people's place than we'd planned, and as the town is in a valley, and since it was nearly sunset, prettymuch everything was in a dusk-like shadow. So we didn't go to a river afterall o.e
I had the brainwave of going to a place we know to look for fossils, but it was almost dark there too and I didn't find any...Sky found two though, and she was hardly looking *wails*
Earlier, me and Sky were on the small track which leads to our house, outside our neighbour's house, taking photos of the cats which were around. (Sky was borrowing Dad's camera.)
Then la voisine popped up and started talking to us (this cat was this age, this cat was this cat's mother, this cat had been bitten behind its ear etc) which we took photos.
She's very friendly ^.^
She has...well, had, two three pointed cats - two which look like Siameses and one which is white with orange points. Unfortunately her husband accidentally ran over one of the Siameseys :(
*shudders* Imagine how awful it would be if you ran one of your own cats over.
Anyway, we hung around there for about half an hour and then went back home.
I want to go for a bike ride earlier and explore somewhere new, but Sky doesn't feel great and I don't know if she'll come with me. It's fairly boring going for a walk on your own...not to mention creepy because at this time of year you don't know if you're going to stumble across a drunk hunter around the next bend.
Do you know what kind of fossils they were?
ReplyDeleteI love hunting for fossils and geodes :D
I love geodes too :3 unfortunately I've never found any...in France all there seems to be for me to find is clear quartz...
DeleteThe fossils in that place are mainly ammonites. Well, that's what we've found there, there's probably other stuff too.
