The day before yesterday, Mum bought some fat balls for the birds. (I did try making one, but the result is probably the reason why we've not seen any birds around for a while.)

I was under the hopeful impression that hanging some outside would attract the cute little things, but I was sadly mistaken. All they attracted was two magpies which, in the space of about five seconds, knocked one of the fat balls out of a tree, scoffed it and fled *sigh*

Still, maybe some birds will come.

Anyway, my aunt and her daughter came over last night, and we made mince pies :3

Well, me and Sky did, anyway. They taste nice, although I have to admit they don't look exactly...professional.

When they'd gone, I attempted to take some photos of Humbug with the Christmas lights creating bokeh behind him, but all he was interested in was the bits of cheese I gave him in an attempt to coax him into looking towards the camera.

Yes, I tried squeaking and making other various noises, but I think he's got used to them by now XD and trust me, there's been a wide variety - including imitating motorbikes, cows, planes, horses, snakes and random hissing and squeaking.

Wooh, I did :3 not superb, but it's still something.

I want to go for a walk, later - yes, I keep saying that, and yet we never do - and try and find some owls (although I really need a lens with a bigger focal length...) but Sky has a headache and idk if she'll come. Still, on verra.
