Yesterday I put Humbug in a tree, in the vain hope that he'd pose and let me take some photos of him.
He didn't. He just wandered along the branch, stopped, licked himself, continued, almost fell off the branch, went right to the edge and tried to cross onto a different branch and then sat there looking pleadingly at me.
Then the neighbour's dog came to the fence and Houm stared at her in the utmost horror.
She's a very cute dog, and from what I've heard our neighbour yelling, she's called Josephine or Jo.
I would have liked to take some more photos of her, but I didn't because, after all, I wouldn't like it if someone came to our fence, peered over and started taking photos of our cats.
Josephine went off eventually, and I put my camera down and climbed up to get Houm. The branches were covered in sap and not very strong, and I scraped a layer of skin off my leg.
I got him, eventually, and then he sat on my back all the way into the kitchen *sigh*

On another note, there's a small tamarisk tree outside our bedroom, and I hung a fatball on it. It took the birds a while to find it, but now they're on it almost all day ^.^ I've tried to take some photos, and I think they're beginning to get used to me, but I really need a more telephoto-y lens or tamer birds. Also, the fatball doesn't look great in the photos...

Anyway, I'd better go. We're about to go off for a walk.
