Woooh, great, so a whole week of no school -.- then one week of school, then back to Europe.
Also, on Friday, I discovered that everyone in my class had gone to school on Thursday, and the only teacher we would have needed that day who wasn't there was the maths teacher. I can't believe we were told there was a strike and no point coming. It would have been the best day of the week :(
The puppies (well, Sandy's) are running all over the place and peeing and pooing everywhere. I am so fed up of cleaning the floor. Sandy's started to snap at them and is feeding them a lot less. We thought there was something wrong but with puppies (as opposed to with cats) this is a normal time for them to begin eating solids. And apparently four weeks is normal for cats, too. I suppose our mother cats were just really patient :3 Sammy let hers suckle until they were six months or something, even after she'd been spayed. Anyway, we made a thing called posho which is a sort of porridge or semolina-like gloop for them, which they loved. And we just moved them out of the living room into the corridor, where it'll hopefully be easier to wipe. (The living room has a wooden floor, the corridor is tiled.) Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to photograph them earlier because I got up just before twelve, and then it rained all day so I couldn't take them outside. I don't like photographing them with the flash and without the flash it was too dark inside - and the power cut didn't help.
Kleo is on the bush outside and has been for several days (seems I forgot to mention it earlier). It's nice that she's staying there. There was a male on the bush, too, but I think he's disappeared up the creeper. I took some photos of Kleo a few days ago, and I'll try and take some more tomorrow. It's annoying, though, I'm afraid I'm running out of ideas for chameleon photos...they're all turning out the same: chameleon on a branch with green or bokehed background.
I don't have enough clean clothes, currently, to be able to sacrifice some by lying on the ground and attempting to photograph a fast-moving chameleon who isn't even going in my direction. There's no sun right now so not really enough light for a fast shutter speed and therefore a tongue-out shot. And even with a tongue-out picture, it's just the chameleon on a stick and its prey. I know, the chameleon could face me. But I only have four options for a setting: a stick which I've found on the ground (too short and boring); a small sapling which I have to use one hand to bend over (impractical); a nice leafy bush (which unfortunately the chameleon always wants to explore, taking no interest in food) or, finally, a lovely mossy tree which I have to somehow climb into without bashing my camera or squashing the chameleon. And in the rainy season, that tree is so slippery.
Oh well, I'll come up with something, eventually :P

I read a book on training dogs to be search / rescue animals and they weaned the pups at 4 weeks and would "hide" their food so they would have to scent it, to start building that skill...it was pretty interesting read....
