So, we’re
back in Kenya now! Mum and Dad were up all night packing, and we left early in
the morning yesterday. The nine hour flight was alright. I watched films and
there were lots of nice clouds. We went over the Alps, the Nile, and there was
a nice sunset.
We were in
the airport for several hours. The queue took far longer than it usually does,
for some reason. We were standing there for absolutely ages. And then when we
went to collect our suitcases, my sister’s wasn’t on the belt so we had to go
and ask about it. They told us that ten passengers’ luggage had been left in
England because there was too much stuff. But they found out that the suitcase
had been scanned on arrival, so someone else had taken it by mistake. There was
another similar suitcase going round and round, which was also over the weight
limit, so we guessed that one was theirs. Anyway, the man took our details and
said he’d phone us when it was returned. But then, just as we were making our
way to the carpark, I saw some people with the suitcase! They said they’d got
home and realised it wasn’t theirs, and they’d come back immediately to return
it. So we got it back safe and sound! :)
Both Toffee
and Sandy are fine, but both are hyper and rushing around like mad so no photo
for now. I’ve got a small black weevil and a brown jumping spider, but no
chameleons yet. We’re going to be out of the capital for a few days, starting
from tomorrow. I’m hoping there’ll be a different species of chameleon there,
one I haven’t yet seen :3 also there’ll be crocodiles! I can’t wait to get
there.
is that the alps?
