There's a hammerkop nest in a large African tulip tree in the school grounds.
They started building it last year when we were there, and the pair kept calling which drove our history-geography teacher furious.
This year, towards the beginning of January, I found two eggshells on the ground underneath the tree.
And just recently, the two babies have been flying around! They're so sweet. They look just like the adults, but slightly less mature. They fly in such a wobbly way and wander around on the path and things where the adults are far too shy to go.
