I've been photographing my spiders & weevils & caterpillars again. Also the orchids. And my sister.
On Wednesday we're going to visit the school I'll be going to this term. I'll probably be asked some questions and if all goes well start next Monday. I want to go to school, but I don't want to as well. I want to because I like learning and it's interesting to observe modern humanity and I want to see how it compares to the wonderful school in Kenya. But then I don't want to because then I don't get much time at home with the cats, going for walks, taking photos, etc. Still, I'll hopefully be back home earlier than I was in Kenya, and also the sun sets later here. Then again, I think we have a two hour lunch break so the day will finish an hour later. What am I supposed to do with a two hour lunch break, huh? One hour was perfect.
Mum says you may be able to do extra activities and things during the lunch hour, but if we're only here one term we're probably not going to pay for that.
Next year, if we're not back in Kenya, I'll most likely be going to a different school. The one I'm going to this term is a private Catholic school, and I'm going to it because otherwise I'll be going to a not-great school, as that's where children from our area are sent. We're hoping to get into a better school in September, as it's easier to apply at the beginning of a year.
Good luck! I'm back home from school at 14:15 usually, and some days at 15:10.
ReplyDeleteI am so confused! what do you consider home? France? And where are you now? Do you ever go to the same school year after year? It must be difficult at times to shift around so much!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I consider everywhere home! But right now we're in France, which is what the rest of my family calls "home".
DeleteFrom when I entered primary school until Year 5 (I'm not sure how that compares with the American system...), I went to the same school and we stayed in the same place. Then I finished primary school in France. After that was when we started moving around a lot, between the three countries. We homeschooled until April 2015, when we started at the school-of-awesomeness in Kenya. We had planned to go back there in September 2015 but were unable to, and only returned in January 2016, when we started at that school again. And now we're in France, so I'm starting a new school :P
Mmmm...not really. Obviously each country has its advantages and disadvantages, but otherwise I quite like it. Except for the huge packing rush we get into an hour before the plane leaves.
