Yesterday evening I went to the lake-pond-thing and took some photos. I saw some fox and heron tracks. There lots of damselflies which are very unhelpful and land in the most unphotogenic spots possible. I can catch them quite easily, but then if I place them somewhere else they just fly off again. I would like to go there one morning and photograph the damselflies when they're all dewey but the problem is there is no dew. It's too hot. Some nights it doesn't go below 19C. However, there's rain forecasted for next Thursday so maybe I'll get a dewey morning...

Last night there was a herd of wildboar just below the garden. We went down there with a torch and could see them all rooting about. They didn't seem worried by our presence. I'd like to find where they rest during the day (somewhere down by the stream, I expect) but I don't want to disturb them if they have babies, as the mother can be very dangerous.
