We've been having a nice time here, and I think we are extending our stay for another few days (since we still don't have our stuff back and Mum wants to stay where there's an oven and a washing machine). I'm pleased, but it is rather expensive, however much cheaper than other places it is. And besides, it's not really a holiday if my parents are working, or complaining about the furniture, Brexit and Donald Trump. The complaining is mostly Mum, I suppose, but she drags Dad into it. They keep saying they'll come for a walk with us, look for chameleons or just do some physics, but no...
We went on an outing yesterday, but - exactly like the last time we went - we went too late and only saw a few warthog and impala. We did see some buffalo, but by then it was totally dark and we mostly just saw their eyes shining in the light of my torch. It was pretty impressive to see their silhouettes, though. No elephants, but thankfully that's less due to our lack of time before dark, but more because they're hiding in the forest at this time of the year. What was very annoying was that Mum (who has recently and even more annoyingly joined instagram) ran out of space on her phone so I was spending ages trying to delete things, which didn't even free up enough space in the end, goodness knows why.
Still, we did have a nice time and it's very nice where we're staying. There are monkeys - who so far have stolen eggs, tomatoes and biscuits - and white necked storks, herons and egrets. I'm still hoping we'll be able to find an underwater camera which I can rent, but it doesn't look likely, unfortunately.
