I found my wire! It was actually in one of the draws in my bedside table, but I thought it was a different wire :P Before I upload the firework photos, though, just a couple of other things to say.
We took the cats to the vet, yesterday. Well, when I say "the cats" I mean three of them, since Samy really didn't want to come. I managed to catch her, nicely, the first time and tried to put her in the basket...but she didn't want to go. I tried twice more but she just scratched me all over. And since I was wearing a swimming costume, she got me all over my legs, too.
Oh, I'd better add that we only have two cat baskets since we haven't needed to take four adult cats all at the same time, before. So we had to put two cats in each basket - Samy and Humbug and Paws and Toufkin. (Those last two don't like eachother, but we didn't have another option.)
Then I had an idea: we got a large box out of the garage and put a rug in it, and tried to get Samy in there.
I got her in three times, but all the times she burst out of it before Sky came with the sellotape >.< (Wow, "sellotape" looks weird when it's written down...)
So we left Samy at home and took the other three, Paws in a basket by herself and Touf and Houm together.
Sky had to go to the doctor's (because she has a slightly strange posture, apparently) so Mum abandoned me at the vets' by myself. The cats just had to have their "rappels" or boosters.
Paws behaved well in the car, just yowled a couple of times and then dribbled a lot. (She always dribbles in the car, for some reason.) Toufkin was good, too, but peed *ahem* Humbug was also good, but stuck his paw through the bars of the basket and tried to kill me.
When we got to the vet, Paws went first - she had a themometer stuck up her *cough*, was checked with a stethoscope and then given her injection. She was very good, but moulted all over me so I had fur all over my hands and somehow it got in my nose - which was very annoying since if I tried to get it off (and out) I just put a whole load more there.
Humbug was next, the vet complimented him on his adorable looks and then did the same routine as with Paws. Humbug was a bit more nervous, though.
Lastly, Toufkin - he wanted to get off the table but I stroked him and then he rubbed himself all over my hand and behaved very well.
Then we took 'em home - they were so thankful to get out of the baskets!
Then, today, Sky went to get an X-ray of her back and apparently she has "minimum scolliosis" - I'm just guessing it's spelt like that. So she just has to do some exercises or something to get her spine straighter.
After that we went into town, to several shops, including IKEA - where we bought two doors (not sure where they're going to go, but hey) which were put over the front passenger seat and my seat in the car.
Mum went in the back in the middle seat and I was cramped under the doors, lol. Probably counts as child cruelty...not that I care X3
And, finally, ze fireworks. I'd forgotten how easy they are to photograph, actually. Although I had to have the focus on manual and it must have got jogged at one point because a lot of them turned out blurry >.<
There were tons of people at the edge of the river watching the fireworks but as soon as they had ended it took about five seconds for us to be the only ones left!
We were at the kind of [insert town name here] river beach, which is pretty small, but anyway - and to get down there, there's a small stone ramp thingy with a chain at about ankle-level across the entrance...to stop cars going down, I suppose.
But one old elderly lady tripped over it and (I think) broke her nose and fainted O.O
A couple of people called the ambulance...eek.
She may not have broken her nose, but it didn't look good at any rate *shudders*
And just two things to finish off with:
We're not going to sue our tenant because Dad's a nice guy and has given him back half the deposit, which apparently the man was satisfied with. I should hope he is! Considering he owes us at least three times the deposit! But the affair will not end there...when I'm eighteen, he shall be sued!
And we have tenants on Saturday, for a week, so we're temporarily abandoning les pauvres chats again. Well, abandonin' 'em to the mercy of our neighbours. (Who are very nice.)
I think they're coming for a week, anyway, it may be two. I can't remember.
And I'd better go. We only just got back from our not-so-lovely shopping expedition, it's 12.45pm and I've got to have supper.
Bye ^.^
Haha, your cats sound so cute!
