Right, a complicated update on my chameleons.
I found a chameleon - Thor - on a bush as we drove home a few nights ago. He fought with Apollo and got bitten on the leg but is ok. He escaped and I found him again the day before yesterday and released him yesterday since we don't have enough boxes.
The night before last before last I wandered around outside with a torch and re-found Diana and Kleo. Kleo escaped yesterday and I released Diana.
I also found two new chameleons the day before yesterday - a young female called Anita and a male called Lancelot.
I lost Apollo, found him and then released him - hopefully temporarily - yesterday.
I put Sekmhet on the bush because I didn't have enough boxes and she's wandered off, up on to the creeper.
Hermes is also on the creeper.
A neighbour's gardener found me a new chameleon (a male; Osiris) and the son of the housekeeper of another one of our neighbours showed me where he'd seen one, which I got (a male; Nameless) and brought me another one (a female; Saga).
Any mythological or legendary male names for Nameless would be appreciated :3 even though I had to release him earlier *sigh*
I found two other chameleons yesterday, a male and a female on a bush. The male (Benjamin) was annoying the female (Freyja) who was black and hissing. I released Freyja this morning. And last night I found two more; both males, one young (Robin Hood) and one older (Loki).
This is Nameless:
I will post pictures of Robin Hood, Saga and Loki as soon as I can upload them.
Good, now I can move on XD
The school meeting went well, but it was a lot briefer than I thought it would be. The Headmaster and the Conseilleur Principale de l'Education (you can see why I couldn't remember her title) weren't too sure about me doing the brevet, but I said I wanted to so there we go. But because the other kids will have been at school for the whole year and the teachers will have been looking at their work, I'll have an extra two subjects to do: physics / chemistry OR natural science AND music OR art.
Of course I'll be doing SVT (science de la vie et de la terre) and I guess art because I can hardly remember any violin...and the notes have just gone clear out of my head.
We were supposed to go back to the school on Thursday to pick up the school books and ask some questions and things, but there was a strike at the library or something so they couldn't get the books so we didn't go and we'll just get them on Monday when we *gulp* start. I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to find my way around the school. It's so big!
Also, the school hours are really long. Or, should I say, the time we're away from home because the bus journey takes ages as we're some of the furthest away pupils. We'll have to get up at 5.30am at the latest, catch the bus at 6 and I'll get back, for three days of the week minimum (probably four) at 7pm. Sky might have three days when she can come back at 5.
And here the sun rises and sets at 6. So we're going to leave in the dark and come back in the dark.
MARVELLOUS I DON'T THINK.
How the heck am I supposed to even see my chameleons, let alone look after them?! They go to sleep with the sun! Not to mention my photography *wails* I really don't know if I'll be able to cope with that... Well, we'll see how it goes.
Good luck! I am sure it will be awesome!
