Mum and Dad took Toffee to the vet yesterday because she hadn't had her puppies yet. I'm sure it was just because it was her first time, but anyway. She stayed over night, and was brought back home earlier today while I was at school...along with nine puppies!! They are all black, along the lines of Jasper. I think they're going to fade, like he is doing, and get beige patches and turn Alsatian-coloured. All of 'em. They're all so sweet! Toffee is doing so well with them. I hope they'll all make it, considering she only has eight teats and they'll have to take it in turns.
I'll try and take some photos tomorrow ^.^

Oh dear, I love school but I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. Two hours first thing of maths. The teacher is nice but he - have I already said this? probably - yells! You can hear him from really far away yelling about "les fonctions affines ou lineaires". We've moved on to power of a number...power of 10 is easy enough, but of a number is so confusing. I had maths earlier today and for most of it I have to admit I was just sitting there, hoping that I looked as if I understood and noting down what he wrote.
After that we have two hours of technology (I still don't know what the point of it is), then lunch (we're having packed lunch now, ugh), then Spanish and then history-geography. Not too bad, but oh, the maths... *wails*

On a whim, here's a teacher and subject, er, thing.

Maths - it's just my least favourite subject. I hate anything to with shapes, especially, and I have no idea what I'm going to do since I have to take the scientific baccalaureate and that's maths, natural science, physics and chemistry...
The teacher's nice, but, like I said, he yells at unexpected moments and makes me jump - not to mention that I'll probably go deaf soon.

Physics-Chemistry - when Dad did it with us, when we homeschooled, it was good. I can see that my sister's P-C teacher (who I have for techno) would be good at it and make it interesting, too. I do like it. But my current teacher's voice is just *yawn* so boring! Not stereotypical droning boring, just...ugh. The sort of person who gives you a limp handshake. Soft and yuck.

Natural Science - I thought I would really like this. It's not bad, and certainly could have been worse, but doing antibodies and things is just not that interesting. When we move onto something better (probably not until next year *wails*), it'll probably be really interesting. The teacher is really good, too.

Technology - I have no idea what we're supposed to be doing here, nor what the point of it is, because the others have been doing stuff for their brevet and finishing things they started before I came. But the teacher is really fun, although he teases so much! We met him last year when we visited the school.

Spanish - it's ok, but I'm not as advanced as the others, so I don't understand a lot of what the teacher says and can only get the general gist. I feel so proud of myself when I understand, lol. The teacher is nice, although no one else likes her. (Seriously, she was absent - still on holiday I guess - for two weeks and the rest of my class was absolutely serious when they said they hoped she'd broken something and was never coming back.)

History-Geography - it's really interesting and you learn a lot. It's really cool being able to know stuff about the Schengen zone and things and be able to answer a question your Dad doesn't know. The teacher's average, quite nice, although apparently he used to be really horrible.

Music - music so far has just been memorising a song for the fete du printemps, for me - the others have been doing stuff for their brevet. But the teacher seems really nice.

Art - same as music, really, viz the brevet stuff. But I think the teacher teaches well, and she's nice, although she does bark in class.

P.E. - I don't like it so much. I do like sports, and I do like football (what we're currently doing), but I like playing matches, not dribbling the ball around cones and things like that. Of course the heat doesn't help. Seriously, it's scary how it can be grey and cold the whole week except Mondays, which is when we have P.E. The teacher is just average, really.

Gymnastics - I like the idea of gymnastics, but I can't use my stupid wrist since we did a whole load of handstands and now it really hurts (tendinitis partly) and I can hardly do anything. Other than that it's pretty ok. The teacher is alright, too. (He, for the record, is married to the art teacher.)

English - I really like English. It's so relaxing after all the other strenuous lessons! It's easy and fun, and the teacher is really nice.

French - I really like this, too, as long as we're not doing too much grammar stuff. It's really interesting, reading a book and then learning stuff about it. A whole load of history gets dragged in, too, like when for example we read La ferme des animaux (Animal Farm). And the teacher is really, really nice too.

And, on another whim, a list of my favourite teachers, in order (first being fave, last least fave). The subject will just stand for their name...
French, English, Technology, Art, Music, Natural Science, Spanish, History-Geo, P.E., Gymn, Maths, Physics-Chemistry

Voila. I have actually no idea why I wrote all that. I guess I was just bored :P

  2. PUPPIEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

And no sweats over the number to powers in maths----it just tells you how many reese cups you need to get you through the problem----a problem with n to the 10th power requires 10 reese cups to solve!
