I think this is my fourth time at the Kenyan coast. We're back in the place we've always stayed at before, which is lovely and right next to the sea. It's astounding how many hotels there are which cost over a £100 a night per person, and which aren't half as nice as this place, which costs less than a motorway hotel for three people.
We've been in Mombasa for a week or so, but before we were staying
somewhere else, closer to where Dad's conference was taking place. I took a few photos of the
conference, and some of a workshop my parents did. The first hotel was alright (swimming pool and friendly cats) but it was really hot and not in a particularly nice setting, as you can see from the photo below! I've got a chameleon now, which I'm very thankful for - they aren't around in the town. She's a female flap-necked, with an old leg injury. I think she must have got attacked by a bird, which would also explain why she gets very defensive if you try and pick her up from above. I don't know if her leg still hurts, but if I find another chameleon I think I'll release her, as I don't want to risk causing her any pain. I'll post some photos of her tomorrow.
