Me and Sky went for a bike ride yesterday. We went on the normal route at first, down the track.
We came across a hunter with a dog, talking to someone in a van. The way he was waving his gun around in the air was a bit worrying, lol.
Anyway, we past him and then our neighbour - one we don't know very well - , with his new dog (who looks very cute), before crossing the part of the track where the stream crosses it.
I cycled straight through and got my shoes a bit damp, but Sky stopped at the last moment and then went around via the stepping stones (which aren't very useful unless the stream is fairly low, since two or three in a row have had the top knocked off or something and are underwater most of the time), wheeling her bike through the water.
We then continued up the track, into a small wooded bit, and left our bikes near a steep, stony track which we proceeded to walk up.
It was nice going back up there, we haven't been there for ages!
We wandered along a bit, and came to a new track, which we proceeded to walk down although I was wondering if it might not take us ages to get back to our bikes (therefore causing us to be late and Mum to start scouring the countryside for our mangled bodies).
Thankfully it ended up somewhere I hadn't thought it would, and somewhere I'm glad it did, because I'd been wanting to explore there for ages :P it was a track branching off the main one, closer to the village beyond ours. Gosh, it's annoying not being able to say the village names. Life would be so much simpler if I didn't have to go into tedious details of where everything's laid out instead of simply saying the name.
Well, we walked back up the main track, found our bikes safe and sound, and cycled home ^.^
Today Mum's going to pick up Dad from town, since he went to England a few days ago and today he's coming back. I hate it when my parents go out, simply because they leave us a whole load of rules.
"Don't touch any sharp knives." - I don't see why it matters when they are here...
"Don't go near the swimming pool." - I can swim...
"Don't go out in the lightning." - as if it's raining daggers or something...
"Don't go for walks." - ugh, why not?
And blablablabla... *sigh*
