Me and Sky went on a bike ride yesterday...or was it the day before? Yep, day before.
We went down the track - well, a track, not the track...the being the one closest to our house and which technically links up to the a track *cough* but hey - to where Sky doesn't like going for some reason yet unknown to me.
I was taking Dad's tripod with me, to see if I could get some long exposure photos of the stream / river. I was hoping it would be nice and stream like, with water flowing around rocks and stuff.
Before we got to the track (a track, heh) we had to cycle on the road and the tripod, which I'd strapped to the crossbar of my bike, fell off and almost caused a fatalistic collision between me and the road. Normally, when I take the tripod with me, I strap it on with a long bit of wire, but this time Dad told me to take an elastic strap thing which looks like this...

...and for some reason - though I'm usually super good with tying things on (not very modest, but it is true) - it came off, the tripod fell to the ground underneath my wheel, I ran it over and only just managed to not fall off.
Still, maybe if it hadn't fallen off something worse would have happened. It did make us change our route a little, anyway, since we cut across someone's small vineyard to get to the / a track instead of continuing to the start of the / a track.
Anyway, we cycled down the track, stopped where we'd been heading for (which was the entrance to a field, which led into the small wood around the river), walked across the field, and into the wood. Sky had daftly brought normal shoes instead of plastic flipflops or Wellington boots so, as the path was a kind of marshy pond, had to scramble along the edges of it.
Then we got to the stream...which had turned into a river.
Spate
See that bit the water is flowing over? That's the bridge >.<
I took a couple of photos, and then we continued along the track, and got into some more wood.
We hadn't gone the whole way round before, so that was nice.
Into the Woods
I wanted to see if we could see the horses before we went back, but Sky didn't want to (maybe because we might have been trespassing... *cough* I'm not absolutely sure we would have been, but still).
Then we cycled back home :3
