When we went to the dentist, we drove past a waterfall. But I had stupidly not brought my camera, so we didn't stop. But yesterday we went back there, with the camera. But guess what. The waterfall was so dependant on the rain that since it hadn't rained all night long - only about five times, intermittently -, it was dry *sigh*
There was a little pool of water at the bottom, which led out into a stream which dribbled down a track and into a ditch by the side of the road. The strange thing was that the stream was flowing, although the waterfall wasn't. But there were some bubbles coming up from in the pool at the base of the dry waterfall, so I guess some water was coming up from underground.
I hope we can go back there some time when there's water...
Last evening we - me, Sky, Mum and Dad - went for a walk. In the dark, in the drizzle. Not surprising we didn't see anyone else out :P
We walked through the village, and went down a steep, wet, muddy, rocky path. Suddenly me and Sky heard something make a noise between a snort and a grunt, on the left.
We thought it might be a wild boar so we made a lot of noise (because they can be a bit nervy around now, since they're being hunted).
We were ahead of our parents, and I was ahead of Sky, when suddenly, a few metres in front of me, rush ten wild boar in a line. They darted across the path, making hardly a sound, and disappeared into the wood on the left. There were at least ten, and two of them were young ones.
I so wish I had brought my camera with me...but they disappeared too quickly for me to photograph them, I think. Also it was really dark in there.
I really want to see some wild boar, again...in the day light, hopefully, so I can take some photos...
IF Silver Dawn was a good sister she would've carried a big bucket of water to the top of that water fall and poured it out so you could get the picture you wanted!
