Ah, malheur! What is this? A whole week without posting? Mince alors.

Well, nothing much's happened. We went to see the horses several times - Ouriya was out again, but her owners put her back in the fenced-off field yesterday. She was very annoyed at being put back in, and when we went to see her she had her head down all the time and walked very slowly.
It was fun, the first time, with her being out, because we were protected by a ditch on the side of the field. (Ouri can get frisky and we didn't want her squashing us.) But the second day she somehow got up the courage to jump over the ditch, which was quite scary since she landed a few feet away from us. At one point she suddenly jumped over the ditch back into the field (if I remember correctly it was because both me and Sky were in the field ourselves), but Sky started because she didn't want Ouriya to land too close to her, and that scared the horse and she suddenly bucked and galloped off.
It scared me, too o.e I was pretty close to her. There was a boy at school who had a scar on his cheek from being kicked by a horse.

Here's a photo of Ouriya in the field (sorry it's over exposed). That's my shadow. That small stripe between the edge of the field and the vines marks the track, which also goes behind those trees. Between the track and the field is the ditch.

Other than that, we're going to see N with the horses again on Friday...which is tomorrow, now that I think of it. And our granddad's coming over on Monday, and then we'll go back to his place on Tuesday and spend two days with him, before coming back here and then hopefully packing up to head to London.

  1. that is a beautiful horse, I love that color, I always called it mustang, but I don't know if that's right. Anyway---do you ride? You should ask them to give you riding lessons =)
