First of all, yesterday (well, during yesterday's night), I was coughing a lot and Mum came in and asked if I was ok (yes) and if I had a temperature (no). But she said I was boiling hot and shouldn't go to school tomorrow. I said I had to go to school tomorrow, and there was no question of my not going to school tomorrow. I thought I'd made my point, and fell asleep...to wake up a bit past seven a.m, when I should have been on the way to school. I was furious, but waited for Dad to get up, which he did at eight. I said I felt perfectly fine, etc, etc and eventually it was decided that I could go to school. Sky was deemed ill, though. However, I only got there quite a bit past ten, so I totally missed my first lesson; French, which I had really wanted to do *wails* I was only a few minutes late for Physique-Chimie and the rest of the day went well.
But then at some point last night, I woke up and heard Mum and Dad muttering something about school and saying something about the teachers. Then they came into our room and said that there was a strike and there'd be no school tomorrow. They'd had an email about the strike. This morning, Dad phoned and checked and yes, there is a strike, even though no one mentioned it yesterday and it wasn't even on the school website which we happened to check before we went to bed.
Anyway, I'm super annoyed. I really wanted to go to school!! Thursday is one of the best days...Histoire-Geo, French, Music and English! Ugh, groan, grumble. Why the heck couldn't they have striked tomorrow? - Two hours of maths, Spanish I don't understand and technology which although I like the teacher, I don't see the point of. And Histoire-Geo, but we're not doing anything particularly interesting just now so it's not much of a plus point. Grr.
Oh well, at least I'll be able to take some photos of the puppies...
