I started a post on what we did yesterday, but now I absolutely cannot remember what we did so never mind. It wasn't anything specifically interesting, anyway. Today me and Sky finished packing most of our clothes and things, the carpenter came to finish sanding some things he hadn't finished sanding (he's still here, btw) and I found two chameleons and photographed them, Sandy's and the Lenin Slugs. Quick explanation viz Lenin Slugs: they're Toffee's babies. "Toffee" sometimes gets shortened to "Toffsky" and from then to "Trotsky" was but a step. Then I started calling her Lenin, but that suited the babies more. They already had the nickname of "Slug" because they waddle around and look like furry slugs from above, when you can't see their legs, so they became Lenin Slugs. *cough*
Anyway, the two chameleons are male and I think I've had one of them before but I'm not sure. I'll have to compare to the photos I already have. I've released them both, now, onto the bush.
The LSs I photographed were Ringo, Thomasin and Vladimir (he's the original Lenin, other than Toffee, btw).
Three groups of people came yesterday to look at the dogs: a woman and her daughter, a man, and a friend from school and his mum. The w & her d want Rosie! They'll pick her up in two weeks. The man wants three - but I think we can only give him two - and he knows someone who wants another two. So those four or five will be Lenin Slugs. Friend from school and his mum don't want any, unfortunately (I mean, he does, but his mum doesn't, and he's going to Cyprus anyway, to live with his dad) - his mum wants a labrador or something.
Our landlord knows a woman who we're going to give Olive, and our neighbour is getting two dogs, one of them a Lenin Slug. And the other one?
JASPER.
I cried. I don't want to give them Jasper!! I want Jasper!!!!! The only way I was going to give Jasper away was if he was going to someone from school - but no one from school seems to want a dog, apart from the dance teacher, who's coming later, and I think he wants Benjamin. (I don't particularly want to give him Jasp, anyway.) Actually there are only three people at school I'd have given him to - my three favourite teachers. But one of them is leaving and going to France, the other is leaving and has a cat and kitten anyway, and I never got a chance to ask my French teacher. Probably lives in a flat and can't have one, like everyone else. I'd have loved to give him to her, but oh well.
I only relented to him going to our neighbour because if he leaves (he's renting, you see, like us) then maybe we could have Jasper back. Also, when Mum and Dad and Sky go back to France (I might stay here for a bit, to finish school and the baccalaureate, because I think they'd be going back before I'd finished) I could ask for Jasper back. Well, we'll see. I'm going to get him back somehow.
Good Luck!
