A (tumultuous) week has passed, and I'm still not at school. But we have, at least, found a house to stay in, at a relatively good price, for the next couple of months. Plus it has the added benefit of an adorable cat who belongs to the gardener but, although we only moved in yesterday, seems to like us a lot and hangs around with us ^.^ she has the most beautiful golden eyes, as you can see below.
One of the problems we've had - and are still having - this week is that our previous landlord is refusing to give back the stuff we left in the house we rented from him before we left. He claims we owe two months rent and won't give us the things (including beds, fridge, cooker, table...) until we pay. It was illegal to take those things in the first place and we do not owe him any money. In fact, owing to the improvements we made to the house which was not in good condition when we moved in, he owes us money. However I think we're prepared to waive that provided we get our things back, because I do not want to spend another night sleeping in the incredibly uncomfortable rented car. My sister and dad slept on the floor as they're taller than me and Mum and would probably be more uncomfortable in the car.
Anyway, despite it continuously being delayed, I hope we are at last going to visit the school and make arrangements for my commencement this coming week, on Monday. Wish us luck!
Good luck!
